SA United continues to support the new STAR Soccer Complex and its efforts to provide not only the premier soccer facility in town but an amazing place to learn and play for children and adults with special need, Morgan’s Wonderland. To show our support we will be moving many of our teams out to this new facility in the fall season to train. We are very excited to not only support the efforts of STAR but also to be in a position where we can afford our players and families the opportunity to practice on these professionally maintained fields.
‘The STAR Soccer Complex is located in the former Longhorn Quarry in San Antonio, Texas. We have carefully designed every aspect of this sports facility to ensure our 13 full size, fully lit fields will be this region’s premier athletic fields. This incredible attention to detail and dedication to excellence will allow San Antonio to be able to accommodate large local, statewide, national and international tournaments. The STAR Soccer Complex is pleased to be affiliated with Morgan’s Wonderland, the World’s First Ultra Accessible Family Fun Park. Located adjacent to STAR, this revolutionary 25 acre park for children and adults with special needs has truly redefined the possibilities for an accessible, inclusive play experience. All proceeds from STAR will help to subsidize free admission to Morgan’s Wonderland for all individuals with special needs. When you play at the STAR Soccer Complex, you are not only competing on Texas’ finest soccer fields, but you are also directly helping our friends with special needs and their families experience a fun, safe place where everyone can play and everyone is welcome’.
