RESIDENTIAL CAMP A HUGE SUCCESS!
The first annual SA United Soccer Club residential camp took place at YMCA Camp Flaming Arrow over the weekend of 13th-15th August!
74 players and 26 adults attended the camp with players, parents, and trainers alike staying in cabins and participating in team building activities designed to promote team and club unity prior to the Fall season kicking off!
Communication and co-operation skills were in abundance as our SA United players participated in a variety of activities organized to test their ability to work together. Activities included a night hike and bonfire, team building low ropes course, canoeing/kayaking, river swing, river-slide, smores and songs, and of course plenty of soccer!

Residential weekend was what SA United is all about, we are more than just a soccer club, we are a community of players and families. Watching the players from different teams and different ages work together and have fun together was so rewarding. I could not be happier with the success of the First Annual Residential. Sunday saw some very tired players sad to leave camp, but with fantastic memories and plenty of stories to tell from the weekend! Do not be surprised if you hear refrains of “3 short neck buzzards” and “Hey, Hey, CFA!” being sang across the fields over the next few weeks!
