THE DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAM

The SA United Developmental program is available to all U9 and U10 players who are looking for advanced
training by professional coaches. The SA United Developmental program is designed for players
looking to enhance their soccer skills by enrolling in a program designed to improve their skill
development by using more advanced levels of training and play. The program focuses on individual
technical skills before moving on to advanced tactical skills. Players will develop their skills while training
in a team environment and will have the chance to play competitive soccer games against other Academy
teams throughout San Antonio.

The aim of the SA United Developmental program is purely on helping our young players develop their
skills, techniques, knowledge and love for the game. The program provides the opportunity for players to
‘move’ away from the recreational scene and continue their passion for the sport whilst receiving
professional training. Players will train twice a week with our qualified and experienced trainers provided by
World Wide Soccer. Games are also coached by the World Wide Soccer trainers. There are no
try outs, and 50% play per game is enforced. Developmental games are played against other Developmental         teams throughout San Antonio. Home games are played at McAllister Park.

DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRESS

The Developmental program was formed in the fall of 2007 with the aim of helping players prepare for
competitive soccer. The program started with 3 teams and now has 6 teams heading into the fall 2008
season. The program continues to develop and we are dedicated to making this the best program in
San Antonio where our players can learn and develop in a family atmosphere. We will be adding new
teams and more opportunities for players in the spring of 2009.

SA UTD PROGRESS

SA United is now the fastest growing club in San Antonio and continues to enjoy success
throughout the club with teams at Division 1, Super II, Division II and Developmental level. The club
currently has 14 competitive teams and 6 Developmental teams, a long way from the 5 teams that the
club formed with in 2005. The club is planning on building its own home with the acquisition of fields and a
club house. As we continue to grow and attract players we will be adding further teams in the fall of 2008.

DEVELOPMENTAL FEES

The total amount due for the Fall 2008 season is $380 per player. This amount covers training fees and
uniform fees for the season. Included in this price is the $80 NEYSO registration fee. This fee applies to
all SA United players and covers the costs associated with practice and game fields, league registration
fees, referees, coaches clinics and STYSA insurance. You can pay by check or set up a monthly
payment plan with the club. You will need to submit payment with the player information form found on this
page. For further information on how to set up a payment plan, please contact
Christ Sparrow at christimf@yahoo.com.

UNIFORMS

All players must purchase a uniform package consisting of one jersey, one pair of game shorts and one
SA United practice T-shirt. To purchase your uniform, you will need to complete the uniform sheet
found on this page and mail to Karen Westerman. The uniform fee is included in the SA United Academy
fees. If you have any questions regarding uniform, please contact Karen at kwesterman@satx.rr.com.

TRAINING STAFF

The SA United Developmental program will be officially trained by the dedicated and professional trainers
from World Wide Soccer. Established in 2002 in San Antonio, Texas, World Wide Soccer is committed
to educating children of all ages, abilities and backgrounds about the international game of soccer.
To that end WWS employs international trainers with excellent qualifications to teach, encourage
and motivate young players. The trainers translate their love of the game into effective and entertaining
coaching, training, and directing, www.worldwidesoccersa.com
